Transfer Students

The knowledge and skills you have acquired at other institutions or through your work can help you get ahead at Mishkah. Not only can you earn transfer credits for relevant coursework, but you can also earn credits for work experience in Islamic education or dawah. You may also earn credit by testing out of subjects.

To transfer credits from another institution, you must submit the following documents to the Office of Student Support:

  • A complete application form
  • An official transcript from the institution you are currently attending and any other institution(s) previously attended. Credits cannot be transferred without copies of official transcripts
  • Copies of course outlines for the courses you wish to transfer
  • Certified translations of documents if original materials are not in English and you are enrolling in the English program. Materials must be translated into Arabic for enrollment in the Arabic program

You can earn a maximum of 15 credit hours for relevant work experienceTo find out if you are eligible:

  • Submit letters of recommendation from respectable scholars or other evidence that outlines your experience in dawah or education

Students can also test out of courses amounting to 15 credit hours.

  • To request testing, contact Student Support with a list of courses you wish to test out of
  • The academic adviser must approve your request to test out of courses
