Shaykh Omar Suleiman has been appointed as Mishkah’s new academic advisor for the English Department. Sh. Omar will work closely with students to track their progress and provide guidance on course planning and graduation requirements.
Sh. Omar has vast experience mentoring Muslims from diverse backgrounds. His own love for knowledge is what inspires him to engage and reach out to those dedicated to learning more about Islam.
He always advises students on the importance of sincerity, once saying, “if the knowledge you are attaining is serving your ego instead of your humility, and causing you to be satisfied with your status rather than fear Allah more, then you are like a diseased person taking pain killers rather than treating the disease.”
